About Me

My name is Diane Crossfield. I am a non-traditional student in the College of Agriculture, at the University of Kentucky. I am majoring in Sustainable Agriculture. I hope to help develop sustainable urban farm systems in the US, with a focus on areas that are considered food deserts. I am also focusing on food policy, with the goal of working to make positive changes, both large and small scale, that favor the consumer (and eater) as opposed to corporate agri-businesses. I am politically active and that plays a strong role in how I see my future. I am a member of the local roller derby team, the Rollergirls of Central Kentucky (R.O.C.K.) and I'm also a wife and mother.
